I know the truth. I know you won’t accept it. I know indescribable beauty. I know you don’t see it. I know the Voice who spoke creation into full bloom. I know you don’t hear it. I know the One True God. I know you don’t know Him. I know there is still hope inContinue reading “I Know…”

In a recent phone conversation with my mother, we discussed the different phases of life on this earth. She said, “I’m in my last chapter of my life here on this earth, just a few pages to go.” All I could do was acknowledge the bare truth of her statement. My hope is that sheContinue reading “A Mother’s Blessing”

Let’s begin at the end, the ending of this world and the start of a new world. Why? Because it’s easier to walk with Jesus through the pain of this world, knowing it was worth every moment to arrive at the final destination.  What is Jesus’ final destination? There is a little known fact about me that I haven’t disclosed in my blogs. Are you ready for it? I can’t dance. In Phil Collin’s song “I Can’t Dance,” he says, “The only thing about me is the way that I walk.” And I would concur with that song, the only thing about meContinue reading “Keeping in Step with the Spirit”

With my family, there is no way of getting around watching romantic movies.  We love to see the right girl meet the right guy and decide toContinue reading “The Marriage Proposal”

The gift of joy abounds When the face of God appears. A King with no crown listens to angels drawing near. Babe destined on heavenly path To save the world of sin’s deadly wrath When Death was conquered upon the cross Knowing God wants no one to be lost. The gift of joy abounds WhenContinue reading “Poem: The Gift of JOY”

What’s the best way to get into the Spirit of Christmas? One of the ways I love to get into the Christmas mood is by listening and singing to traditional Christmas carols. For decades, I’ve sung Christmas carols with my family and church. These songs usher in the joy of the season. For example, theContinue reading “The Gift of JOY”

The earthly world as we knew it was dark. Nothing but pitch black as far as the eyes could not see. This darkness was dense. You could cut it with a knife. Then, one silent night, the darkness was disturbed. A light appeared on the earth in the form of a tiny infant. The infantContinue reading “A Light in the Darkness”
