Trust Me

It’s dark out there,

Trust me, I will be your light.

I don’t understand,

Trust me, I will be your guide.

They won’t like me,

Trust me, I will be with you.

They won’t change,

Trust me, I will decide their fate.

Will the world get any better?

Trust me, it will.

When will this take place?

Trust me, I will make it all new in my own time.

Based on my earthly father’s favorite verse – Proverbs 3:5-6::

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.
⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him,
    and he will make straight your paths.
