A Mother’s Blessing

In a recent phone conversation with my mother, we discussed the different phases of life on this earth. She said, “I’m in my last chapter of my life here on this earth, just a few pages to go.” All I could do was acknowledge the bare truth of her statement. My hope is that she won’t leave me too soon, but I want to send a Biblical blessing out to her on this Mother’s Day. Mom, you love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and because of your love for God; God has lavished His love to your family and God will continue to love your family to a thousand generations and beyond. (Exodus 20:4-6)

Exodus 20:6

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

And Mom, when your book is finished on this earth, the impact of your love will continue to be felt throughout all our family’s generations. For love remains. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Love you, Mom.

Happy Mother’s Day!
