The earthly world as we knew it was dark. Nothing but pitch black as far as the eyes could not see. This darkness was dense. You could cut it with a knife. Then, one silent night, the darkness was disturbed. A light appeared on the earth in the form of a tiny infant. The infant made the darkness convulse and shudder as the light was bright and piercing. This light reached upward towards the heights of the heavenly angels above and also to the depths of the people on earth below, for the purpose of bringing light and sight to all who believed. Hating the light, the darkness attempted to kill the infant, knowing that if this baby lived, the darkness would rapidly decline in power. The attempt failed. The tiny infant grew in stature and rose as a very real threat to the darkness. An epic battle is staged to take place as darkness makes its stand to annihilate the light.
